How it works
Taproot Library does the slow, careful work of reading, organizing, and connecting everything you add. You stay in charge of every name, place, and story.
Upload photos, scanned letters, recordings, and videos, a few at a time or thousands at once. Your originals are kept exactly as they are.
It reads old handwriting, types out documents, transcribes voices, and notices the people, places, and dates inside.
Everything links up, the same person across photos, the same place across years, and the narrative of your family takes shape.
What Taproot Library reads
Old letters, journals, and captions become text you can search.
Recordings and videos become transcripts you can read, search, and quote.
The same person is recognized across decades of photos, with their permission.
Locations are identified across images, and scattered dates line up into a timeline.
Repair & restore
Black-and-white photographs gain color, and washed-out color is restored.
Tears, creases, spots, and scratches in a scan are smoothed out in a new photo, with your originals untouched.
A face lost to blur or damage is brought back, so the person is recognizable again.

Shared
Invite your loved ones to add the names, places, and memories only they know, gather moments into projects, and build your family’s story together.
Your story
Taproot Library does the reading and the connecting, then leaves the choices to you. The names, the dates, the order they’re remembered in, those are yours to set, so the story shows what your family knows.
