How we handle privacy

You own your memories.

Everything you add to Taproot Library (photos, documents, recordings, and the stories you build) belongs to you, not us. We don’t claim ownership of any of it.

We don’t sell your data.

We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your family’s content to anyone. We don’t run advertising, and we don’t use third-party advertising or tracking tools.

We don’t use your content to train AI.

The AI features that help organize and enhance your archive work for you, not the other way around. We don’t train our models on your private family content, and the AI providers we work with are not permitted to train on it either.

You control who sees what.

Your library is private by default. Everything requires a sign-in, and the only people who can see a library are the members you invite to it. There are no public links, and nothing is ever posted to social networks.

You can leave and take everything with you.

You can close your account at any time from your settings, and we erase your content and your personal information. To get a copy of your archive, email us and we’ll send you your originals along with everything Taproot Library generated from them.

When we do share data, it’s limited and named.

To run the service, we rely on a few trusted providers for hosting, payments, AI processing, and error monitoring. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Our full policy names exactly when and with whom.
